Main Illustrations

My artwork has always leaned towards illustration, specifically figurative and narrative with a more recent interest in human anatomy. My main goal with illustration, is to bring interest and curiosity to people and their individual stories through a use of intense color, composition, and lighting.

FLARE-UP

This illustration is a personal reflection/visual on my chronic joint pain and particular points that flare up.

SPOT

This animated illustration was inspired by SPOT the robot-rescue dog. A new technology designed to aid Police, Firefighters, and search and rescue teams in scouting dangerous areas fr evidence and help. Each frame of this animation is hand drawn to help lift the sort of Storybook-esque style. The limited color palette helps not only draw attention to the subject (SPOT), but also create a scene of rubble.

Vagus Nerve Study

This was an independent anatomy illustration after learning about the vagus nerve in a Science/Ethics class that investigated how the vagus nerve is connected to neurology and our parasympathetic nervous system.

Growth Vision

While researching the anatomy of different layers of the human eye, I realized quite a lot of the different veins, arteries, and texture resemble patterns of nature. This illustration not only peaks into the anatomy of our eyes, it has a rather story/children’s story-esque style of representing its naturalistic pattern.

LEG STUDY

I wanted to emphasize the curvature of legs why exploring a very colorful/neon high-saturation palette. I used primarily cool hues to bring contrast to the bright red feet. I was going over anatomy notes from a previous anatomy class and decided to practice leg form/musculature.

BA NOI

I was inspired to make it after sitting with my grandmother as she cooked one evening and just reveling in the sheer warmth and power she radiated. This is what she looked like that night- totally in her element.

A SEAMSTRESS

I observed a seamstress’s workplace and took compositional inspiration from how fabric flows out of a sewing machine. I created this circular narrative that used primarily line and silhouette to draw a relationship between hand and machine.

Ear Anatomy

This was an independent anatomy study of the human ear. It was a self research project based off my curiosity for the physiology and anatomy of how our ears function.

BORN

This independent illustration explores themes of self discovery, rebirth, and imagination. I personally interact and encounter fish a lot throughout my life and artistry, they’ve become a reoccurring theme of sorts.

DAILY READ

I came to the design after practicing character design and producing this angler fish character using their light to read in the dark depths of the sea.
