Abby Nguyen
Illustrator and Fine Artist
I am an artist local to St. Louis, MO, earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Webster University, with an anticipated graduation of 2027. I specialize in narrative, editorial, and storytelling Illustration. While I primarily work in digital for commissions and illustration assignments, you can catch my hands in all sorts of traditional mediums like acrylic/watercolor paints, charcoal, ink, and ceramics.
My collection of works uses figurative and narrative elements to investigate various relationships and interactions between people, their environment, and themselves. The dynamic an individual has with subjects in their life is a curious and colorful thing. Because of this, I find myself investigating what lies beneath a human surface and how these underlying aspects are presented outwardly. Through this investigation, I question what it means to experience and visualize the unexplainable nature of a human being: pain, illness, curiosity, fondness, etc.
